The Footman and the Little Dressmaker from Eleanor Farjeon's story, "The Little Dressmaker." Here she models the Duchess's sunbeam gown--but she must look forward to tomorrow's ball and hurry home to finish the next dress!
This is my first Illustration Friday post for 2012.

This is beautiful
ReplyDeletereally nice work.
ReplyDeleteI love her curtsy, and her dress! It's so nice when people dress their characters really carefully and with details. I also like the hint of floor tiles.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Love the costumes. Really great style and characters. I also love the idea of collected IF entries! I may have to figure out how to do that. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love costume design (my other business is designing vintage-style sewing patterns) so that often comes through in my characters' clothes. :)
ReplyDeleteCindy, I explained how I did the collected IF entries in the comments on my 2010 entries: http://blog.amandakastner.com/2010/12/year-of-illustration-friday-2010.html It does give you a sense of accomplishment to see all of the thumbnails in one place!
